Description
Robotics(Ages 9-12) 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Discover Robotics (Age 9 to 12)
From curious builder to confident problem solver—your child’s next step in robotics.
This hands-on program goes beyond play and introduces students to real-world robotics in a structured, engaging way. Whether your child is just getting started or coming from our Explore Robotics program, they’ll now learn to think, build, and program like a true robotics designer.
In this course, students:
- Work with advanced educational robot kits, sensors, and motors
- Use microcontrollers like Micro:bit to bring robots to life with code
- Explore circuits and electronics using safe, snap-on components
- Build functional robots like robotic hands, drawing bots, or four-legged walkers
- Develop key skills like logic, precision, testing, and creative problem-solving
Every class is built on real applications. Kids program their robots to avoid obstacles, solve mazes, follow lines, and respond to sensor data—all while gaining a deeper understanding of how robots interact with the physical world.
Our curriculum aligns with the BC ADST standards and goes well beyond, with modules in:
- Navigation and movement
- Sensors and automation
- Circuitry and mechatronics
- Energy and power systems
- Robotics ethics and real-world challenges
Where does it all lead?
To future engineers, tech entrepreneurs, AI robotics designers—or any career where building, thinking, and solving with technology makes an impact.
No prior robotics experience is required—just a desire to explore, build, and create.

Discover Coding - Python (Age 9 to 12)
A comprehensive computer programming course—personalized, project-based, using Python language.
This course is designed to launch your child into the world of real-world programming—whether they’re a complete beginner or already have experience. Using Python as the main language and integrating foundational concepts in AI, students learn to think like developers, problem-solvers, and innovators.
Through a fully project-based approach, learners build different projects based on their current skill level. Beginners focus on core programming logic, while advanced students dive into more complex topics like intelligent systems, automation, and Internet of Things (IoT).
Highlights of the course:
- Comprehensive curriculum that introduces both core programming and emerging AI concepts
- Skill-based progression: students advance through beginner to advanced tracks at their own pace
- Project-based learning: every student builds real, creative projects matched to their ability
- Python as a primary language—widely used in industry, research, and AI development
In this course, students will:
- Learn programming structure, logic, and syntax
- Write and debug real Python code in a beginner-friendly environment
- Develop logical thinking through flowcharts, algorithms, and problem-solving exercises
- Explore the basics of Artificial Intelligence, including how machines learn and make decisions
- Create interactive projects such as games, automation tools, and smart applications
- Discover how software interacts with hardware through IoT and MicroPython (for advanced learners)
Where does this lead?
To confident, future-ready thinkers who know how to use code to build tools, solve problems, and shape the world— like the software platforms of tomorrow.
No prior coding experience is required—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to explore.
