Do you know kids start to form career choices between the age of 7 and 12? With the advent of Robotics, AI, Digital Arts etc. many traditional jobs are disappearing, and new opportunities are appearing constantly. Learning these technologies will help kids prepare to grab these opportunities. So let us grow their interests in the tech of tomorrow! We are bringing in one of the leading Robotics Education providers in Canada to Surrey Christian School. It is on Mondays OR Fridays (Your choice) from school dismissal to 5 pm, until the end of June 2023. One day week only. This is an in-person class at the school. Please find some details below.
Elementary Robotics & Coding: (Age 6 to 9):
Robotics & Coding for absolute beginner primary school students!
The objective is to excite students about technology and impart some passive learning on robotics & Coding. Each day will consist of new stories to engage the students, such as becoming a Robot Hero to save puppies in danger, and taking part in a robot dance-off! They program industry leading robots to achieve these missions. In the robot build sessions, students will be given a Snap-On robot kit and tablet to create their robot of the day, such as Robot Car, Engineering Vehicle, Robot Puppy, etc. Once completed, the students will be able to control their robot to take part in fun activities such as playing robot soccer, red light green light, freeze tag, and more. The program continues to coding after their break (snack time). They code their own animated adventures, games, and even create their own digital artwork. Examples of which are digital greeting cards, wall art for decorating their rooms, music, flyers, posters, and so more!. We provide all necessary materials including tablets, robots, hardware, instructors, etc.
Note 1: This is an ongoing play based class. So it is okay to join after the January start date also.
Note 2: Age 9 (Gr 4) is considered transitional and can join either L0 or L1 classes. They can also switch to L0/L1 mid-course if they like.
